آمونیت

قطعه ای افرا که به فراموشی سپرده شده بود، تنش مملو از زخم های متعدد و کهنه بود، دچار باختگی بسیار شدید بود (نوعی بیماری ویروسی چوب)، آفت به جانش افتاده بود و مانند زباله به گوشه ای انداخته بودنش و چند سال در گوشه حیاط یک کارگاه زیر یک ناودان شکسته گذر زمان کرده بود و دیگر پوسیدگی اش با خاک قابل تشخیص نبود.
در این شرایط میهمان دنیای یک دارکوب شد، چند سال با ترکیبی از سرکه، جوش شیرین و … مداوا شد، باختگی اش متوقف شد و بالاخره آماده شد که زیبایی درونش را در معرض نمایش قرار بدهد، با دقت تمیز و بخش های مرده و پوسیده اش جدا شد، از دل آن به تعبیری زباله بی‌اهمیت، این فرم پیچیده و زیبا نمایاش شد که در نگاه من مانند یک فسیل چند میلیون ساله یک آمونیت باستانی بود.
برای بهتر دیده شدنش بر روی یک پایه دست ساز که از ترکیب یک صفجه کلاچ سوخته کامیون و قطعه‌ای از یک لوله گاز باقیمانده از تعمیرات کارگاه بود قرار گرفت و میهمان نظر شماست.

A piece of maple that had been forgotten, its body full of numerous old wounds, was severely decayed. It had been infested with pests and discarded like trash, left in a corner of a workshop yard under a broken gutter for several years, until its decay was indistinguishable from the soil.

In this condition, it became a guest in the woodpecker’s World. It was treated for several years with a mixture of vinegar, baking soda, and other substances. The decay was halted, and it was finally ready to reveal its inner beauty. It was carefully cleaned, and the dead and decayed parts were removed. From what was essentially considered worthless trash, this complex and beautiful form emerged, which, in my view, resembled a fossil of an ancient ammonite from millions of years ago.

To enhance its appearance, it was placed on a handmade base, which was a combination of a burnt truck clutch plate and a piece of a gas pipe left over from workshop repairs. Now, it is here for your appreciation.
